Community Service Initiative
This module create a platform for students to experience the society and community around us and required us to visit some places and understand the particular users and community and make some contribution to the society and community with our ideas and creativities.
Community Service Initiative Project
Working in a group of 6, my group has chosen the SPCA animal shelter as our target community. We tried to provide ideas of our own to fit their needs. We visited the animal shelter and helped them with some of their daily tasks. We also interviewed the chairman of the shelter and got some feedback from them regarding the issues that they are facing and some common daily problems. Compiling every data together, we were able to come up with something that not only benefits the shelter but also the visitors that been to the animal shelter.
Outcome of the project :
- Able to learn and understand the issues that the community faced by helping the community out
- Able carry out analysis based on the site and community issues and propose or create alternative solution
- Able to observe, record and analyze the community as well as interview and collection of data
- Able understand the importance of community service and how it benefits us
